Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch this evening.  The girls had so much fun.  We took a ton of great photos.  Alexis got her face painted.  They had all kinds of activities.  Balloons...even a little pig race.  The pigs had painted markings on their backs such as blue pok-a-dots, red stripes, etc to distinguish the almost identical pigs from each other.  They raced around the special pig race track.  The pumpkin patch was huge and they had a large selection of pick your own pumpkins. Alexis managed to pick a soft with a slightly mushy side, little baby pumpkin (pie pumpkin size). This was actually her 2nd pick.  The first pumpkin she picked out had visual fuzzy mold on the outside.  I decided we needed to keep that one in the patch.  She tends to pick the deformed or not-so-perfect pumpkins.  She gets so excited that she gets to pick it out all on her own.  We picked a nice pumpkin for Isabelle.  This will be her last year that I will be able to pick out her pumpkin.  To think next year she will be old enough to pick her own.  We saw several mom's and their families from my Mom's Group there too.  We had so much fun!

After the pumpkin patch we met Dane's brother Daniel, sister in-law Teresa and their kids, Christina and Matthew at Sonny's for dinner.  Nothing tops the night like overstuffing yourself with BBQ!  They have the best corn fritters (or as they call them, Corn Nuggets) in Georgia...that I've tasted thus far.
