First SnowFALL in Georgia

What an exciting Christmas present...SNOW!!! It came on the 26th and was the first snowfall of this winter. We only got a few inches, but had a great time! We went sledding, made snow angels, a snow made (even though it was only about 12 inches tall) and had a little snow ball fight.

Redneck Sledding

Yes, that is a cookie sheet that we are using. What is even more surprising is that both Alexis and I managed to fit on the little cookie sheet. We only see snow a couple times a year so when we have it we need to take full advantage of playing in the snow. We have also tried cardboard and sun visors. There needs to be a petition for Walmart to start selling sleds and shovels down here! I noticed they started selling ice scrapers. I still use my credit card as an ice scraper...it works the best and is the most convenient. This year I decided I will do something different. In preparation for next winter, I will buy some blow up pool round floaties this summer and save them for when it snows.

Our Gingerbread House

We had a play date at my friend, Tania's house (she has 3 little girls) and we made this cute gingerbread house.

Daddy's Deer Hunters

Who says girls can't hunt? Well they do in the South. Alexis had heard from Isabelle how much fun it was so this time both girls went with Daddy hunting. I am still convinced the girls just like to get the warm, delicious breakfast biscuits and take a nap in the portable storage container (see Izzie sleeping...or pretending to do so). I personally still do not get the whole "hunting thing". Sitting still in the cold while being quiet...well that is not for me. I am so happy Dane has found some activities that he can enjoy with just him and the girls. It's good 'ole fashion bonding time!
