A Weekend Getaway With J.C.

Getting our CRHP retreat ready for the next group of beautiful Christians.
Our chapel...isn't it beautiful?!? The blessed Eucharist was present the entire retreat.
Father David McGuinness and I...we go way back...we are BFFs!!

Jenny (our Kitchen Coordinator--note all the band-aids on her fingers from slicing and dicing) she led the group in a morning stretch exercise to wake us, sleepy heads up.
By wonderful CRHP sisters!!!
Welcome committee outside bright and early.

Sleepover at the Marriott

Having fun in Daddy's hotel room.

Playing Hookie

Daddy is in Atlanta training for his job so we decided to come to his hotel room and the highlight of the trip was swimming in the pool. Alexis made sure to tell everyone and their brother that she was going swimming.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Daddy and Lexie went on a "double date" to the Daddy Daughter Dance. They went with our friend, Ryan (Heather's husband) and their daughter, Olivia. They first went to dinner at the Olive Garden and then went to the dance afterwards.

Redneck Sledding

We officially have invented the "Redneck Sled". It closely resembles a car sun shade or cookie sheet. When you live in the south, you really do not have constant access to such winter necessities such as a ice scraper or in this case a sled. Unlike up north aka Minnesota, you can purchase a sled and ice scraper pretty much at every corner store, gas station, you name it, you can find one. Down here, Walmart may order a few which are gone within a blink of an eye. Being the brilliant Mom that I am, we used a couple common household items such as a sun shade and cookie sheet. Voolah...you have yourself a snow sled. Add a little Dawn dish soap or oil and now your talking about good times. p.s. For an ice scraper, it is normal for us to use a credit card, library card, id, etc. It does the job!
Enjoy the video!

It's A Snow Day!

The "Redneck Sled", is a car sun visor shade that you sit on and slide down a snowy hill on. Just thought you could learn something new today.

We don't own winter boots so I guess rain boots and 5 pairs of socks will have to work for now.

Top reason to living North Georgia? We get to see snow once a year and never get sick of it because it completely melts within 2 days. We have 4 seasons, but the 4th season: winter doesn't last much longer than a month or maybe 2. No nonsense MN winters where it possibly snows from October through April. That is just insanity!

I Heart U!

It's the SJS Pre-K party. One of the moms embroidered all of the chair covers to put the valentine cards in.
