The Best Coffee Shop EVER!

Ike and Jane's is hands down the best coffee shop slash donut shop ever! It is our favorite stop before or after church. They have my all-time favorite donut with icing and fruity pebbles on top. Who does that?? Ike and Jane's does. They have donuts with lucky charms, sprinkes, the red velvet is my runner up to being an all-time fav too. They even have what we call the "Auntie Dana Donut" which is sprinkles in the shape of a yellow smiley face (see photo I am holding one). They have this donut called, "The Elvis". I still have yet to experience the Elvis. Do I dare? It has maple icing, banana and bacon on top. It looks really strange, but fellow Ike and Jane fans say its a goodie. Did I mention their coffee is off the chain good...it sure gives Starbucks a run for their money. That is saying a lot since I am a Starbucks-aholic. I swear I am not a stockholder! Okay enough free advertising and testimonial for our local coffee shop.

We went to the lake with our friends, Melissa, Richard and their 2 girls. We had a BBQ, then playing in the sand and went swimming. We had a Bocce Ball tournament and Melissa beat us all. I think she secretly practices at home. She alleges she has never played before...uh huh...heehee ;-)

The McLovin' Sisters

aka Itchy and Scratchy. They were running around the house like little crazy people and I said, "Hey! Itchy and Scratchy, get back here!" (Dane and I used to watch The Simpsons...or let me re-phrase, Dane insisted at one time in our relationship that The Simpsons was a classic and the best adult cartoon ever. I beg to differ.)

McLovin' is a common household name...okay I admit, I did pick up the name from SuperBad movie.

Last Day of Gymnastics

No more Gymnastics...at least until the fall. Both girls will be in Gymnastics again next year. They both love it and they both seem naturally good at it too. It will be fun to start seeing their progress and growth within the sport. Who knows they could be at the Olympics in 2020!

Good friends, Michaela and Christina both just graduated the UGA Vet program and are officially Veterinarians. Congratulations!! The bad news is, Michaela is moving to Massachusetts and Christina is going some town (I forgot the name) near Alabama.

The Great Outdoors

So we really were not out in the middle of nowhere...obviously since we clearly lack hiking gear and basic survival necessities. We went to the State Botanical Gardens in Athens. Here we always enjoy the nature trails, the beautiful and rare flowers, and of course the sneezing from inhaling too much pollen.
